What began as an opportunity to learn tailoring became a life-changing journey for Maxon Malunga of T/A Kaphuka, Dedza. Through vocational skills training, Maxon built a successful tailoring business, improved his family's wellbeing, invested in farming, and constructed a new home. Today, he is multiplying that impact by training others in tailoring, including his wife and former schoolmates, while pursuing his vision of creating even more opportunities for young people in his community.

The Climate Just Communities Project, funded by the Scottish Government through Oxfam, is bringing renewed hope to vulnerable households in Salima’s T/A Pemba and T/A Ndindi. By focusing on integrated resilience building combining climate-smart livelihoods, environmental restoration, and inclusive community participation the initiative aims to equip communities with the tools they need to withstand climate shocks and build a more sustainable, climate-just future.
