Our Story
World Relief’s story began in 1940, born out of a global crisis to support people displaced by war. What started as an emergency response quickly grew into a long-standing commitment to serve vulnerable communities facing poverty, conflict, and disaster.
Over the decades, World Relief has expanded its reach across continents, working with local partners to deliver life-saving assistance and foster long-term development.
In Malawi, World Relief established a strong presence, partnering with communities to address critical challenges in health, livelihoods, food security, and resilience. Through collaboration with local leaders and faith-based networks, the organization helped strengthen systems, empower households, and build hope in some of the country’s most underserved areas.
